Search marketing Marketing for medical and aesthetic clinics

Clinic marketing that stays inside the rules.

Aesthetics is the sector where the best-performing marketing is also the most likely to be unlawful. The work is getting consultations booked without advertising a prescription-only medicine, and that constraint shapes everything.

What you get

What clinic marketing actually involves

Prescription-only medicine compliance

In the UK you may not advertise a prescription-only medicine to the public. That rules out naming the brand in ads and in on-page promotion. We build the funnel around the concern and the consultation instead.

Consultation-first funnels

The booked consultation is the conversion, not the treatment sale. Pages, ads and follow-up all aim at a diary slot with a clinician.

Treatment pages by concern

Lines, volume loss, acne scarring, hair thinning. Patients search for the problem they have, not for the product you hold in a fridge.

Consent-tracked before and after

A photo library where every case is tied to a signed consent for marketing use, with the ability to withdraw it and have the images disappear everywhere.

Paid media that clears review

Meta and Google both restrict health and body-image advertising. Creative and landing pages built to pass review the first time rather than appealing rejections.

Registers and accreditation surfaced

CQC registration where it applies, plus JCCP or Save Face membership. In a sector with a trust problem, this is a conversion asset, not small print.

Straight talk

What most clinic marketing gets wrong

Advertising the brand name of a prescription medicine

It is the single most common breach in UK aesthetics, it is easy to report, and agencies do it for clients every day without mentioning the risk.

Before and after photos with no consent trail

Fine until a patient asks for removal, or until someone recognises a face. Then it is a data protection problem and a reputational one at once.

Selling the treatment instead of the consultation

It compresses a considered, expensive decision into an impulse ask, and it attracts the price shopper rather than the patient who books twice a year.

Ad accounts repeatedly restricted

Usually from before-and-after creative and body-image language. Each restriction costs learning data and momentum that money cannot buy back.

The outcome

What good looks like.

POM-safeads and page copy

Fewerad account restrictions
Who it's for

Perfect for you if…

Your ad account keeps getting restricted and nobody explains why
You want consultations booked rather than price enquiries
Your before and after library has no consent records behind it
You know the POM advertising rule exists and are not sure you are inside it
FAQs

Good to know.

Can we advertise Botox?

Not to the public in the UK. Botox is a brand of a prescription-only medicine, and advertising prescription-only medicines to the public is prohibited. You can market consultations and discuss treatment areas in general terms. We build campaigns on that basis, which also tends to attract better patients.

What does clinic marketing cost?

£1,500 to £4,000 a month for management, plus your media spend. Single-site clinics usually start at the lower end with one or two treatment categories rather than trying to promote the whole menu at once.

Why does Meta keep rejecting our ads?

Almost always before-and-after imagery, body-image language, or implying a personal health attribute. We rewrite creative to the policy rather than appealing after the fact, because appeals cost time and the learning phase.

Do we need CQC registration?

It depends on the treatments. Some aesthetic procedures fall outside it and some clearly inside. Your clinical lead decides that, and where it applies we make sure it is displayed properly, because patients look for it.

How quickly do results come?

Paid search can fill a diary inside two weeks if the pricing and the follow-up are right. Organic takes four to six months. Most clinics need both, with paid carrying the first quarter.
